这个代表英国插画界最高荣誉的奖项，也是保护并推动英国插画文化的重要平台。它要求参赛者必须是居住在英国的艺术家，或者参赛作品曾经在本年度于英国公开发表/出版。

近日，V＆A正式公布了2020年V＆A插画奖：书籍插画、新闻插画、书籍封面设计及学生插画4大类别的入围名单（共701组）。而最终评选出的优胜者名单将于6月2日公布，每个类别的优胜者将获得3,000英镑的奖金和奖杯。除此之外，还将评选出一项「Moira Gemmill年度插画家奖」获奖者将获得额外的5,000英镑奖金。
