终有一日，今天的未知之谜会得到解开，但那需要漫长的勤勉研究。人类寿命有限，一个人穷尽毕生之力也不足以攻克天空这如此巨大的课题。....因此，唯有经过岁月和持续数代的研究，此等知识才能逐渐显现。终有一日，我们的子孙会惊讶于他们的先人竟不了解那些无比浅薄的常常识....待到谜团揭开之时，我们早已被遗忘。如果宇宙无法为人类世代提供无穷无尽的谜题，那它就实在太渺小，太可悲了....大自然不会一下子彰显它的全部奥秘。

宇宙浩瀚，星瀚璀璨。人类的先祖曾仰望星空，在洞穴、石器、动物骨片上刻写对生命意义的朦胧思考。我思，我在。世界上不同民族、地区、历史上的人们不断借助以神话、史诗、古歌、传说、纹样等图景和思想试图回答宇宙与自我的问题，人们建立巫、礼、宗教、道德、法律等一系列的社会秩序，相互取暖，寻求终极的人文关怀，赋予短暂的时间和苍老的空间的一个全新价值。

纹藏以中国纹样为原点，编织民族、地区、历史、物质载体、主题五大脉络，形成纹样数据基因库，以“纹”为媒，倡导“人类命运共同体”意识。自2018年创立起，纹藏始终致力于帮助学术端口建立可靠数据支撑，扶持产业端口进行文化转型升级。2022年夏，我们抬头仰望星辰，俯首创造纹样，“纹的宇宙”——纹藏第三届WZD纹藏国际纹样设计大赛正式启动！

Around Chinese patterns, WENZANG weave five threads of nationality, region, history, material carrier and theme to form a gene database of pattern data. As the media of pattern, advocate the consciousness of a community with a shared future for mankind. Since 2018, WENZANG has always been committed to helping academic ports establish reliable data support and supporting industrial ports for cultural transformation and upgrading.

In this summer of 2022, let's look up at the stars and bow down to create patterns，the 3rd WZD2022 World Pattern Design Competitionis - OrnamentVerse is under way！

“纹的宇宙”是WZD2022纹藏国际纹样设计大赛的主题。WZD纹藏国际纹样设计大赛迄今为第三届大赛。首届WZD以“纹明”为主题，第2届WZD以“红色纹样”为主题，两届各收到了数十个国家的参赛者投送的数千件纹样及纹样衍生作品，在国际国内评委团激烈地评审中角逐出金银铜全场大奖，佳作辈出。赛事和作品受到国内外社会和媒体的广泛关注，取得了不菲的社会影响力，做到了让中国纹样“潮”起来和“走”出去。第3届WZD（2022）纹藏国际纹样设计大赛将继续秉承“纹化自信”的理念，将中国与世界精神、中国与世界文化、中国与世界生活方式、中国与世界设计融合一起，成为具有历史传承和时代精神的纹样传承者、创造者和传播者。

[OrnamentVerse] is the theme of WZD2022 World Pattern Design Competition. WZD competition has been held twice. The theme of the first WZD was "Wen Ming", and the second was "Red Pattern". Thousands of patterns and derivative works of patterns were received in the two competitions from the dozens of countries. In the international and domestic jury, bornd double of the masterpieces. The events and works have received extensive attention from society and media at home and abroad, and have achieved considerable social influence，maked Chinese patterns more fashionable and go out. The 3rd WZD2022 World Pattern Design Competition will continue to uphold the concept of "textured self-confidence" and integrate the spirit, the culture, the lifestyle, the design between China and the world, become the inheritors, creators and disseminators of patterns with historical heritage and the spirit of the times.

年龄：凡年龄在18周岁以上的设计师、设计机构、高等院校设计专业师生以及有相关设计实践的人士均可投稿参评。

征稿范围：全球。

It is mainly aimed at designers, design institutions, teachers and students of design major in Colleges and universities , as well as people with relevant design practice.

1、纹样设计类

以纹样为基础的图案设计，以及纹样的图案衍生。

2、应用类

以纹样为基础元素的应用，包括但不限于：文创产品、电子产品、工业产品、礼品、手工艺品、织物、环境装饰、家居生活产品等。

注：以上类别有交集的作品，可任选其一归类。

Group 2: Pattern application

Applications based on patterns, including but not limited to: cultural and creative products, electronic products, industrial products, gifts, handicrafts, fabrics, environmental decoration, home life products, etc

Note: for works with intersection of the above categories, you can choose one of them to classify.

1、原创、合法

投稿作品须为作者原创，并为独立著作权，不得侵犯第三方著作权、商标等相关权利。作品必须积极向上，不得诋毁他人、诋毁社会、诋毁国家、诋毁宗教信仰、破坏民族团结，必须符合相关法律规定。参赛者作品如有上述内容（或倾向嫌疑），取消参评资格，如因此产生不良社会后果，自行承担法律责任，并赔偿赛事相关损失。

2、提交电子稿

投稿作品一律提交电子稿件，文件规格为：JPG，CMYK色彩模式，内置图片精度不低于300dpi，JPG的尺寸为A3cm幅面。请在下载区下载作品模版。

3、提交作品登记表

每位作者需以Word文档的形式，填写并提交投稿登记表一份。请在下载区下载参赛表格。

4、提交承诺与授权书

每位作品需签名作品承诺与授权书，机构作品请加盖公章，并以jpg的高清扫描件形式提交。请在下载区下载承诺授权书。

5.投稿方式

通过电子邮件，按上述要求，将投稿作品（JPG）和投稿登记表（Word）、作品承诺与授权书（扫描件JPG）一同压缩，压缩包一次性发送到组委会电子邮箱：wenzangaward2022@163.com

6、命名

投稿作品的邮件、压缩包名为：姓名+所在单位+主题+作品题目。如：张三北京大学 B《荷塘月色》系列。

7、数量

每位作者投稿作品不能超过3个单件，或3组系列。其中每组系列作品不超过8幅。大赛鼓励投稿系列作品。

8、费用

本次比赛均为免费。

9、截止时间

大赛从即日开始。投稿参赛的作品至2022年9月30日截稿，以组委会收到稿件的时间为准。

2022年11月-12月，在纹藏中国及各大专业媒体公布获奖名单，同期颁发相关证书与礼品。

1.Original & Legal

Contributions must be original and independent. The work shall not infringe upon the copyright or other relevant rights of others. No other awards have been submitted and won, no bids have been submitted and won, and they have not been used in commercial projects or commissioned designs.Works must comply with Chinese laws.

2.Works in electronic form

The submitted works are submitted in electronic form. The document specification is: PDF, CMYK color mode. The built-in picture accuracy is not less than 300dpi. The size of PDF is 70X100cm format. Please download the work template in the download area.

3.Introduction to works

Each author shall fill in and submit a submission registration form in the form of a word document. Please download the entry form in the download area.

4.Way of submission

According to the above requirements, the submitted works and the submission registration form, the work commitment and the letter of authorization shall be sent to the email of the Organizing Committee in the form of compressed package.

6. Quantity of works

No more than 3 Series (or 3 independent single pieces) can be contributed by each author. No more than 10 pieces / group can be contributed by each series. Suggest and encourage the submission of works with series and integrity.

9.DEADLINE

The deadline is set for 2022.9.30, during the time the final review will take place.

NOTE: From November to December 2022, the list of awards will be announced, and relevant certificates, bonuses and gifts will be issued in the same period.

1.奖项设置：

（1）金奖、银奖、铜奖；

（2）各主题设立特别奖；

（3）作品入围奖；

（4）最佳人气奖25名；

（5）优秀指导教师奖（凡组织15人以上的院校机构或指导教师具备评奖资格）。

2.奖项荣誉：

本届大奖的获奖作者将择优推荐在纹藏及各大专业媒体做专题访谈或专题报道，最大限度宣传展示其设计成就。参赛视为同意相关条款，条款细则请浏览“作品承诺与授权书”。

金、银、铜及特别奖颁发纸质证书及文创纪念品；优秀作品奖颁发电子版证书。

1)Grand Prize (gold, silver, bronze);

2)Special awards are set up for pattern group, clothing and textile group, cultural and creative group, plane group and environmental art group;

3)Works shortlisted;

4)25 best popularity awards;

5)Excellent instructor Award (institutions or instructors with more than 15 members have the qualification to award).

2. The honors

The winners of this award will recommend special interviews or special reports in print collection and major professional media to maximize their design achievements.

All gold, silver and copper prize works will be included in the "art pattern library of pattern collection" and issued with "warehousing qualification certificate".

Paper certificates and cultural and creative souvenirs will be awarded for special awards, and electronic certificates will be awarded for outstanding works.

评审团为文化产业、视觉设计以及艺术领域的国际专家、教授组成。赛事通过初审和终审两个环节评选奖项。

The competition selects awards through two links: first and final. The jury is composed of experts and professors in the field of pattern design, art design and pattern design in China. The jury list will be launched in the next issue.
